Customer Review: Kodak M829 Digital Picture Frame
This digital picture frame is very easy to use even without the manual. Everything you need is on the touch screen. Very easy to use from your digital camera, flash drive or the computer. Also the videos that I tried from my digital camera played very well and where clear. I haven't as yet tried any music. The clock feature that turns the picture frame on and off is a very convient idea but be sure you use the 24 hour cycle, I didn't understand this at first and couldn't get mine timer working right. I did have a little trouble coping picture files to my SD card but I think, I need to put them on my computer first and see if that is what is need to get them on my SD card, not sure about this right now, but I will try it and see if that works. Overall I'm very please with the Kodak digital picture frame and would recommend it to anyone as a gift for the Holidays.
Customer Review: Does not work like it says
I purchased this product two days ago and I am taking it back. I purchased this paticular frame because it goes with my Easyshare camera, and I like the word EASY when it comes to some of this Hi Tech stuff. I have to say it was easy to get my photos on, no problem, but The Video feature didn't work. The videos played very slow and the audio was slow and muted, when I played it for the first time it frightened my daughter, she thougth there was a monster in the frame. I called Kodak, they said to send it back. I don't want to purchase another one and have the same problem again.

THE REASONS WHY SAMSUNG IS THE BEST

Touch of Color
Beautifully design inspired by light, glass and imagination

Imaging a TV that evokes true emotion, even when nothing is playing on its screen. Samsung's Toc (Touch of Color) design gives the glossy piano black bezel frame a hint of color for an HDTV that is truly original in its beauty.

ONE OF A KIND VIEWING EXPERIENCE
Samsung has a rich history of HDTV design innovation: from gorgeously sculpted silhouettes to the signature piano black finish. Now, we're applying an original, artistic perspective to flat panel HDTV design, drawing inspiration from the art of glassblowing...

Auto Motion Plus120Hz
LCD action has never been smoother

By calculating where moving objects would be in between the original frames, we are able to create and insert new frames to bring film up to TV speed and virtually eliminate motion blur.

REFRESH THE MOVIES ON TV
Samsung's new LCD HDTVs with a 120Hz refresh rate are now capable of showing frames at 120 frames per second. Since 120 is a multiple of both 24 and 30, films with 24 fps can be played back as smoothly as they were filmed, letting you take full advantage of new technologies such as Blu-ray Disc.

Super Slim LCD
Presenting Samsung's slimmest LCD HDTV ever

What's the skinny on Samsung's new LCD HDTVs?
There's less to see, thanks to shallower cabinets and thinner bezels than previous models. Since it's all about the picture, they feature Samsung's newest HD innovations that eradicate blur and enhance contrast for magnificent details.

THIN AND PRETTY
Full HD; slimmer TV. A mere 1.9" deep, Samsung's slimmest LCD HDTV is as much as 60 percent thinner than conventional flat-panel TVs. It's even slimmer than its remote. Place it on the pedestal or mount it nearly flush on the wall...

Infolink RSS Access
News, weather, stock quotes and more delivered straight to your HDTV

Samsung's InfoLink RSS Access makes it easy for you to stay on top of the news, even while watching your favorite programs. Get personalized, real-time weather, news, stock price quotations and more delivered to your HDTV screen from USA TODAY.

YOUR LIFE ON DEMAND
USA TODAY will push content to your TV via an RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed. No PC needed, just an Ethernet cable and an Internet connection. A wireless connection is even possible on Samsung's 7 Series and above flat panel TVs. The service is no additional cost to any owner of a Samsung HDTV with the Infolink feature.

When you are outdoors with your camera and looking for new subjects to photograph, try considering the intimate landscape. This is how some landscape photographers call landscape pictures where the horizon is not present. This is unfamiliar as a landscape photograph, because usually we include the horizon, be it the skyline of a mountain, a city or the sea. It does not have to be necessarily like that, however.

Actually, it is much easier to be impressed by a great classical panorama than it is by an intimate landscape. A classical panorama is easy to be described. It is where we zoom out as much as possible with our camera, so to fit in the frame a large amount of objects. Mountains reflecting in lakes, distant sand dunes, a bell-tower on a hill are all examples of classical landscape photography. It is easy to realize when we are in presence of a beautiful landscape like that. I think the main reason for this is probably due to our angle of sight. Our eyes have more or less a 180 degrees angle of sight. So, it is natural for us to look at a grand view, encompassing all we see around.

However, if you look more carefully, you will find that landscape photography and nature in particular have much more to offer. You should train yourself to limit your angle of view, restricting it at will. Imagine your eyes have the ability to zoom in as an ordinary camera can do. Limit your attention to details in landscape, let your brain crop the image that you see with your eyes. If you act like that, a completely new world will start opening up to you. The intimate landscape has no horizon. It conveys the attention to something unusual, or something too usual to be considered worth photographing. Fine details, enchanting textures, curious juxtapositions, trinkets offered by Mother Nature... They are everywhere, all around us. But it is hard to notice them, at first. You must practice. You must see something first, if you want to photograph it! Maybe, the best advice I can give you to start training yourself with is: look downward. Look near you and downward, don't be distracted by what is happening above. If you are a nature photographer, remember that Nature lies everywhere, up and down.

Intimate landscape differs from macro photography, too. Macro photography concentrates on just one detail, like one flower or an insect. Conversely, the intimate landscape is something between macro photography and grand panoramas.

If you start noticing intimate landscapes, you will get more opportunities than ever to take original and very personal pictures. Grand panoramas are few, while intimate landscapes are countless. They are limited only by your ability to see and discover them. I can give you some examples to start with: pebbles on the ground, fallen pinecones, a small pond, bushes, the bottom of a waterfall or a hill, tree trunks in a forest.

So now grab your camera and start shooting!

Kodak EasyShare SV811 8-inch Digital Picture Frame

Kodak EASYSHARE SV811 Digital Picture Frame is perfect for on-the-spot viewing of digital pictures and videos from any digital camera, home PC via USB and all memory cards.
Customer Review: Great Pricing for Great Item. Shipping was fast
Item was received quickly. Item is great to hold pictures and play videos. Great as gift for family and friends
Customer Review: An OK frame for the money
This is an OK, average product. Very basic software, relatively easy to use and I like the fact that it allows a 1gig space on the SD card. The only problem that is very irritating is that you can not randomize the photos. It just loops them in the order they are on the card.

LCD TVs are getting more widespread attention these days. And even though CRT is not going to be extinct in the near future it sure is getting a big whack on the head by LCDs. An LCD TV is more expensive that CRT that's for sure and for a large size LCD the price can be really expensive. But they are still cheaper that the plasmas and on some model the LCD even deliver better images than plasmas. Since this is a big ticket item you really should take your time researching and this article intend to help you to choose the best.

Here is a short list of things you need to consider if you're in the market for LCD TV. I deliberately put the non-technical stuff first because they are often overlooked.

Space

Everyone wants the biggest tv they can afford but where will you going to put it? If you intend to put your LCD tv in the bedroom even a 40" will look pretty big. Whatever size you choose make sure it will not add a clutter to your room.

Location

Some TVs gets a glossy screen and glare problem when put in a bright room. So if "TV room" gets allot of sunlight check the reviews online just in case it gets any of these problems. If you buy it on an brick and mortar store it's even easier to check. Stare at the TV from different angles and see if it glares back at you.

Shipping

If you decided to buy online. Shipping can be a problem. But i'm not talking about delayed shipping or something like that but the damages that might occurred when you're TV is being shipped. A good shipping company will inspect you're TV once it arrived at your door. If the delivery guy doesn't bother to check the TV after you sign the receipt make sure he stays there while you do the inspection for any possible damages. Hook up the cable, turn it on and see if the picture is perfectly acceptable.

Price

Bigger screen, bigger price. It's as simple as that. But when you're comparing two TVs with the same screen size a more expensive one doesn't necessarily better. An LCD tv will cost you thousands of dollars and you really should be picky on your selection.

Picture

When you're buying an LCD TV on a brick and mortar store it's easy to compare the pictures cause the TVs are placed side by side. But when you're only seeing their pictures online your best bet is the reviews. Buyers that disappointed with bad quality pictures will definitely scream their heart out online.

Speakers

Built-in speakers are mostly average quality but for me it's okay since my ears can't understand the difference between average and high quality sound ( especially during regular tv programs ). You, on the other hand, may need to get some quality speakers if you're one of those who have super sensitive ears (which i envy btw)

Style

Some look great some look dull. Even though your LCD TV provide great pictures but if it looks like a glass wrapped in a plastic frame you'll be embarrassed when you're neighbor decided to watch the ball game with you. Another problem is the TV frame/enclosure. If it's too glossy it will certainly reflects some of the lights which might distract your from that movie you're watching. Also consider your interior to see if the TV will stand out too much or blend perfectly. Personally i prefer to change my room interior to match the TV than vice versa. But that just me.

High Definition?

Definitely get the HD one. It is THE future of television. If you don't get a full HD tv you'll be missing a lot of fun experience with your tv.

Kodak EasyShare P820 Digital Picture Frame

KODAK EASYSHARE P820 DIGITAL FRAME
Customer Review: Poor documentation. Awkward to use.
I was looking for something simple to use. This is not it. It is not intuitively obvious and the documentation is very poor. Also I can rotate a picture and it stays rotated but if I zoom a picture it reverts back to the original. This is my first experience with a digital frame so maybe I'm just a dummy but I don't recommend it. I didn't load their software because I once bought a Kodak camera and the software for that was very intrusive and annoying.
Customer Review: I like it for basic photos
When I bought this for my grandparents, I was looking for something easy. To be frank, I just wanted a flash drive port. All I had to do was plug the frame in, insert the card, and hit go. Poof! Easy as pie for grandma and grandpa. I have no intent to explore all the features that probably made this so expensive, but if you're in the same situation I am, it works. And on a Mac too. :)

Have you ever seen a reproduction of an old master painting on a poster, and then seen the original in a museum? The difference is only in the material: the reproduction is only a photo print on paper, which looks flat and lifeless and lacks texture, while the original is painted directly onto canvas, which has a beautiful nature texture visible to the eye. Canvas also brings out the best pigments in the painting. What's more, its subjects look truly alive and human - look into the eyes of the Mona Lisa and you will feel she is looking back at you. This masterful artistic effect can only be achieved with canvas.

Have you ever looked at your own photos after they have been printed and thought they seemed kind of lifeless - that they didn't truly capture the emotion, vitality and artistry of the shot?

Well, try the latest new thing: photo printing on canvas. It makes your photo prints truly special, its texture bringing out the life and beauty of your image. Capturing the shot is only half the battle; all the beauty of the original shot can be lost in an instant with a bad print. It might seem like an unusual idea, but that's what has been attracting so many people to it recently, including professionals, business people, artists and amateur photographers. It is an unusual idea. Printing your photos on canvas is an artistic way of displaying your photos, a special, thoughtful gift for a loved one.

Canvas printing involves a lot of laborious and delicate work, and it's best to entrust the job to true professionals in the business who will do the job with care and skill won from years of experience. Wouldn't you rather receive a gift that's been lovingly and carefully worked on rather than one that's been spat out by a printing machine? That's what you get when you choose canvas over paper. Canvas printing truly offers the human touch. It has to be worked on by hand, to stretch, seal and frame the material. The print also has to be protected by using only the finest materials. The print has to be made with UV-resistant pigments and sealed with a water-resistant sealer. Canvas printing, all in all, is not an impersonal process like paper printing. Spend some time, thought and care on a gift, rather than money, and you will realize the true joy of gift-giving.

You might think that such a process would involve great expense, especially when you take into account the amazing quality of the print and its unbelievable durability (it lasts a good hundred years if you take care of it). But it's surprisingly cheap - a basic print comes for less than $30 at some of the best companies. More customized prints also come at reasonable rates. It's more than worth it for the human touch. What's more, with a reputed company, you will get a full guarantee on the product if you're not completely satisfied. Try it out. You have nothing to lose.

Photographs are an integral part of life. Thanks to photography, people can document every aspect of their life. These days, it is common to have friends who post photos of their wedding, vacation, new children, etc. on a blog or photo sharing website. Photography has certainly embraced the digital age. While digital photography has some major advantages over conventional photography, the old median should not be forgotten. And those who are not familiar with it should check out the new median of printing pictures on canvas.

The reason that the digital photography median is so popular is because most everyone has access to a digital camera in some form or other. Practically everyone has a cell phone and practically every cell phone sold today also has a digital camera embedded in it. And stand alone digital cameras and their necessary accessories like memory cards are dropping in price every single day. Digital photographs are also extremely easy to share with anyone, anywhere in the world. You do not have to wait for the photographs to be processed. Since they are digital, they are available instantly. Some cameras even have a screen so the photos can be viewed right after they are shot. Digital photographs can be posted to websites, sent through e-mails, or sent directly to another person through a chat application such as iChat.

Although digital photographs are extremely convenient in many senses, there is still something to be said about a photograph that is printed on paper, and can be held, placed in an album, or put in a frame. Most people would rather leave out bound photo albums on the coffee table in the living room for guests to peruse than leave out their computer and have a guest searching their computer for image files. Printed photographs are also much more appropriate to give as gifts.

Although e-mailing somebody a photograph is a thoughtful gesture, I don't think anyone would consider it to be a gift. A new and exciting median that is especially appropriate for gift giving is printing pictures on canvas. It is now possible to take almost any digital photograph and place it on the same material that one might find an elegant oil painting painted on. All printing pictures on canvas are done by hand. That is, all the sealing and stretching is done by hand.

Besides being a neat and unique gift, photographs on this median can last as long as one hundred years when kept in museum conditions. That is much longer than any print photograph will last. Even digital files can become corrupted. And hard drives can break and burn out. Most computers can barely last a couple of years, let alone one hundred years!

To have a picture converted into this median can be done for as little as twenty-five dollars for an eight-inch by ten-inch picture. A twenty-inch by thirty-four inch picture cost approximately one hundred dollars. That's only one dollar per year for a picture that will last a century.
